        What is Public Health?

Public Health is the cornerstone of community well-being, encompassing efforts to safeguard and improve the overall health of a population. We focus on preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health through organized efforts and informed choices. Public health professionals work towards mitigating the spread of disease, promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles, monitoring water quality, assessing environmental hazards, and play a large role in emergency preparedness.
