Land Records Search Information
Land records images are scanned and available online. We are currently working on back indexing historical documents, more indexing information is being added daily. The Register of Deeds Office went to a complete digital system in 2001, from 2001 forward everything is digital. Prior to 2001 we have scanned the paper documents and have indexed as far back as the 1970's and farther, we continue to index our historical documents.
Searching Land Records
Our tract index and Grantor/Grantee indexes are available via Colortract for searching at no charge.
Tract index and Granto/Grantee search:
When you have found a Volume and Page or name in Colortract you can then search in Tapestry Eon.
Tapestry EON is where you would go to search and obtain a copy of a document. Tapestry EON has an $8.95 search fee and $1.00 per page copy fee.
The new Tapestry EON has many new search functions including the ability to search via book and page. Tapestry EON is offered as a search engine for those customers that do an occasional search and has an $8.95 per search fee and a $1.00 per page copy fee.
Online records search:
Laredo Anywhere is offered for those customers that do regular searching, such as title companies or attorneys. Laredo Anywhere is a monthly contracted service. Contact the Register of Deeds for the contract fees and more information.
